Krishna P Chigurupati, Chairman of the Board of Directors
Mr. Chigurupati is an investor in Natreon and is also the Managing Director of Granules India Ltd., a publicly traded company with worldwide operations. His pharmaceutical business career of nearly 30 years is marked by many significant achievements and covers many different areas in manufacturing and formulation. He has started several companies, including Triton Laboratories Limited, one of the largest manufacturers of paracetamol in India, which was acquired by Granules in 2001. Mr. Chigurupati is an innovator in the field of pharmaceutical intermediates that facilitate drug formulation and manufacturing operations.

Dr. Sanyasi R. (Sanni Raju) Kalidindi, Founder, Director
Dr. Kalidindi is president of Globe Pharma, a manufacturer of specialized pharmaceutical production equipment and quality-assurance devices that he founded in 1993. He is the inventor of and holds a number of U.S. patents in connection with the design and application of such equipment and devices. Previously, he started Soma Labs, a contract manufacturer of nutritional supplements based in New Jersey that he sold to investors. Dr. Kalidindi has bachelor's and master's degrees in pharmacy from Banaras Hindu University and a Ph.D. in pharmaceutics from the University of Maryland. He is a licensed pharmacist in New York State. Before launching his own companies, Dr. Kalidindi held senior science positions at major pharmaceutical companies such as Wyeth and Burroughs Wellcome.

Lucien Hernandez, President, CEO, Director
Mr. Hernandez joined the company in 2007, following an extensive international career in the pharmaceutical, food, and nutritional-supplement industries. He has held line and staff positions at leading multinational corporations. He started his career as a lending officer with a New York bank, then was chief financial officer of an export-trading company. He was a marketing director at Schering-Plough, vice president international at Shimizu Chemicals (Japan), vice president of the life science division at DCV (a DuPont-ConAgra venture). Most recently, he managed the choline and nutrient businesses at Balchem Corporation. Mr. Hernandez holds a B.S. from the University of Wyoming and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.

Dr. Ratan K. Chaudhuri, Director and Scientific Adviser
Dr. Chaudhuri is a scientific consultant to Natreon, assisting in technical sales presentations. He was previously director of cosmetics research and applications at EMD Chemicals Inc. (the U.S. subsidiary of Merck KGaA, Germany). Prior to that he was R&D manager at International Specialty Products. He was educated in the U.S. (University of Wisconsin, Madison), Switzerland (Swiss Federal Institute, Zurich), Germany (University of Bonn), and India (Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi). He has been cited in the Marquis Who's Who in Science and Engineering®, America's Registry of Outstanding Professionals, and International Who's Who of ProfessionalsTM. Dr. Chaudhuri is a frequent speaker at international scientific meetings and holds 64 U.S. patents, as well as numerous foreign patents. He has published more than 70 scientific papers and written several articles that have appeared in books. His current research interests include developing evidence-based nutritional-supplement ingredients and skin-care products derived from plants. He has been instrumental in conceptualizing and commercializing many novel products for industrial, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and nutritional markets.

Rathnam Kumar, Director
Mr. Kumar is an investor in the company and is currently vice president, manufacturing & validation, with Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, the second largest generic pharmaceutical company in the US and a subsidiary of Novartis. Mr. Kumar's career includes increasingly senior positions at major pharmaceutical companies, such as Barr Labs, Ivax, DuPont, and Eon Labs. He is a chemical engineer.

Dr. Runa Ghosh, Senior Scientist
In addition to being one of our leading research scientists, Dr. Ghosh administers the internal functions at Natreon's R&D center in India and manages the various contacts and relationships the center has with third-party scientific investigators and service providers. She liaises with academic institutions, governmental agencies, and contract research organizations. She also coordinates activities related to ISO 9001:2000 accreditation. Dr. Ghosh's scientific work involves standardization of natural products using HPLC, GC-MS, and HPTLC, compilation of documents for clinical trials and regulatory approvals, such as for the FDA's GRAS self-affirmation. She organizes comprehensive Internet searches and coordinates retrieval and assemblage of data relevant to Natreon's research interests. Dr. Ghosh has a doctorate in physiology from Calcutta University.

Dr. Dipankar Bannerjee, Senior Scientist
Dr. Banerjee is head of chemistry at Natreon's R&D center. His work involves the analytical and quality management of our products by isolation, identification, and characterization of bioactive molecules derived from selected herbal and other natural compounds using advanced spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques. Dr. Banerjee has a Ph.D. in chemistry from Jadavpur University.

Dr. Biswajit Auddy, Senior Scientist
Dr. Auddy is head of biology at Natreon's R&D center. He is chiefly responsible for researching and developing plant products with respect to pharmacological screening of bioactive molecules that are isolated from the plants. He monitors ongoing clinical and experimental trials and manages key relationships with research institutions and governmental agencies. Dr. Auddy is widely recognized in scientific and academic circles; he has received fellowships and awards from the American Chemical Society and the Third World Academy of Sciences, among others. He earned a Ph.D. in physiology at Calcutta University.

Dr. Debasish Pal, Scientist
Dr. Pal is responsible for instrumentation at Natreon Research in India. He leads Natreon's efforts to define possible interactions or synergies between conventional and natural bioactive compounds, and to determine and evaluate the bioavailability of conventional and natural drugs. He is involved with method development, the estimation of energy-synthesizing and plant biomolecules, and the standardization and validation of herbal and other natural compounds. He earned a Ph.D. in chemistry from Jadavpur University.

Dr. Sauryya Bhattachrya, Scientist
Dr. Bhattachrya is group leader of biochemistry at Natreon Research. His R&D work involves the synthesis of organic compounds, examining antioxidant profiles of herbals and other natural extracts, method development for the determination and estimation of energy-synthesizing biomolecules, and pharmacological studies with herbal extracts and synthesized organic biomolecules. He has a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Calcutta University.

Mr. Venkat Raju, Controller / Chief Accounts Officer 
Mr. Kalidindi has been with Natreon Inc. since its founding in 1998 and brings an extensive amount of experience of finance to our team. He graduated with distinction from Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture. While working for the Central Bank of India for twenty-two years, he achieved a very prestigious banking diploma and became a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).  Mr. Kalidindi’s accomplishments have helped him to acquire a great deal of knowledge and skill in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Banking and Finance.
